A big shout out to the Cross Country teams for their performances at the state meet in Missoula this past weekend. The boys' team took home 2nd place overall while the girls' team saw Lindsey Paulson repeat as the state champion, the first time a class C girl has been the back-to-back state champion since 2014-2015. Her time was 19:00.88. Our top placing boys were Asa Jassen taking 2nd with a time of 17:36.08, Clayton Jassen placing 8th, and Bridger Vogl placing 14th. Good job and congratulations!

Good luck to our Boys and Girls X-Cross Team as they head to Missoula on Saturday (10/23) for the State Cross County Meet!

The Cascade County Sheriff's Office informed the school today (10/7) that they have confirmed the identity of the caller that made the phone threat to the school on Wednesday October 6th. The caller, who lives outside of the area, suffers from mental health issues, and officers are confident the caller does not have the ability to carry out their threat. We understand that this event has been unnerving, however we want to reassure everyone that our students and staff are safe. As a safety precaution, deputies from the CCSO will continue to maintain a presence around campus for the remainder of the week.

Today (10/6) the school went into Secure in Place in response to a phone threat. Law enforcement was contacted and is investigating the incident. It has been deemed by law enforcement that there is no imminent threat to the school and normal school operations can continue tomorrow (10/7). As a safety precaution, law enforcement will have an extra presence around campus.

As we start a new school year we will be continuing with many of the same health and safety protocols we followed last spring. In the building, masks will be strongly recommended but not required. We will continue to promote handwashing, social distancing, and staying home if you are sick or fevering. As of now our school buses fall under a CDC order, authorized by Congress, in which masks are required on all public transportation. This means until we receive further guidance masks will be required on all district buses. We are asking parents to provide masks for their children if they are riding the bus. Our Keep School Open plan is available on the school website at www.beltschool.com.
