The Belt DECA chapter took in the annual international conference in Anaheim, CA from April 26-May 1, 2024. Helping Montana secure the organization's highest honors during this conference, the first time in 7 years. Belt took 12 members, 10 who competed in competitive events and two who were selected to be a part of the conference's leadership program (Hans B. and Blake W.). 7 of the 10 competitors were awarded the DECA Certificate of Excellence scoring a combined total score of 70% or greater on the competitive event components in their event. The middle school track meet scheduled for Friday, May 3 in Havre has been canceled due to weather.
The EK-5th grade Spring Music Concert will be held Thursday, May 2, in the main gym starting at 7:00pm. Everyone is welcome to attend and support Mr. Cantley and his students as they celebrate Spring with their musical performances. The 6-12 grade Spring Pops Concert will be held Tuesday, May 7, at 7:00pm.
The Scholastic Book Fair is up and running! May 2 - May 8 - extended hours Thursday, May 2 until 6:30 pm and Tuesday, May 7 until 5:30 pm. Open 30 minutes after school on remaining days.
Statewide ACT results are in and the Juniors (Class of 25) did an amazing job scoring almost 3 pts above the state average. Statewide testing results can be found on the Office of Public Instruction's (OPI) website under "Assessment & Accountability"
Elementary & MS Boys Basketball Camp is May 13th-May 16th for boys entering grades 1st-8th. The camp will run right after school until 5:00 pm.

Congrats to all of the Belt Middle School students who participated in the Montana Council of Teacher of Mathematics (MCTM) Math Competition last month in Great Falls. Special recognition goes out to (L-R) Michael Gaylord, Wyatt Remington, and Nikias Esperza for receiving top marks and Superior Ratings
Congrats to Belt High School Senior Teagan Washburn on placing 3rd at the State FFA Convention last week in Billings. Teagan, who is a senior officer in the Belt FFA Chapter, placed in what many consider the most competitive contest at the state level.
Good luck to our MS boys' and girls' basketball teams as they wrap up their season at the District 8C Tournament on April 5th and 6th. Games will be held in Stanford and Geyser. Congrats to our Belt Principal's Cup teams that recently competed at the North Central Montana Regional Principal's Cup at Simms HS. Over 30 teams representing schools both big and small from around the region participated in the Academic Challenge which saw our Belt Team return home with the Small School Championship Trophy.
