
The Junior Class is selling balloons for Valentine's Day. The balloons will be tied to the students' lockers on the morning of February 14th.
If you want to purchase 1 or more balloons, you can contact Patty in the office or talk to a junior to place an order. There is a limited supply of each balloon, so it is best to order early!

MS basketball practices begin Monday, January 23rd. All students wanting to participate must have a physical on file prior to practicing. Contact the school if you have any questions (277-3351).


The Huskies will host DGSG tonight, 1/13/23, for high school basketball. Games are at GJV3/BJV4:30/GV6/BV7:30. All of the games will be on the NFHS Network, the varsity games will be broadcasted on KMON 560am. Belt Close-Up will be hosting a Mexican dinner fundraiser from 4:30pm-7:30pm in the school cafeteria during the games. The cost is $7 per person or $25 for a family of 4 (or more). Go Huskies!!

Due to the enrollment growth we have experienced since the start of the school year in Kindergarten we will be splitting the class beginning this Friday (1/13) at the start of Semester 2. There will be a Kindergarten Open House on Thursday (1/12) night from 5:30-6:30 pm to allow students to stop by their new classes and for parents to meet with the Kindergarten teachers.

A reminder that Wednesday, January 11, is a staff PIR day and students will have an early release at 12:31pm. Please plan accordingly.

Our high school basketball teams had a successful weekend and will have another busy week. They will play at home Tuesday v. GFCC (GJV4:30Main/BJV4:30Multi/GV6/BV7:30) and Friday v. DGSG (GJV3/BJV4:30/GV6/BV7:30). These games will broadcast on KMON and on the NFHS Network. The teams will travel to Highwood on Thursday (GJV3:30 (½)/BJV4:30/GV6/BV7:30). Good luck and GO HUSKIES!

Happy New Year! School will resume on Monday, January 2nd. We are looking forward to seeing everyone again and getting back to work. We have a busy week with "C" squad basketball games in Belt on Tuesday (6:00pm & 7:30pm v GF Homeschool) as well as the 6-8 Ski Trip on Wednesday. The high school basketball teams will travel to Winnett on Friday night and are home versus TriCity on Saturday. The second quarter ends on January 12.

We will have a MS/HS Winter Concert tonight at 7:00pm in the main gym. We hope you can join us to watch the performance. Please drive safely and stay warm.

DECA students need your help as a competitive events judge at the State Career Development Conference February 5-7, 2023. Judging competitive events requires as little as a half-day time commitment, and you'll be assisting high school students as they work toward successful careers. These students have worked all year to prepare for their competitions. It is easy to judge. 2022 8 Man State Football Champion t-shirts are available for order. If you are interested please stop by the school office, fill out the form, and make payment. Short sleeve shirts are $20 and long sleeve shirts are $25. All proceeds will go to Belt Football.

Blanket and Sleeping Bag Drive (sponsored by National Honor Society) starts today and runs through Monday, December 19th. All items will be donated to Set Free Ministries for distribution to those in need.


A reminder that the Belt Community Swimming Pool fundraiser "Breakfast with Santa" will be held at the Belt School Saturday, December 3rd from 8:00am-11:00am in the school cafeteria. Proceeds will go to the Belt Community Swimming Pool. In conjunction with this event the Belt School will be hosting elementary basketball games in both gyms from 9:00am-3:00pm. There will also be a kids' movie at the Belt Theater at 4:00pm as part of the Belt Christmas Stroll. Everyone have a fun and safe weekend!

Congratulations to the undefeated Belt Husky football team on their 8-Man State Championship victory over St. Ignatius. We will host a celebration dinner at the school cafeteria Monday (11-21) at 6:00pm. The Booster Club will provide chicken and the rest will be potluck style so please bring a salad, dessert, or other time and come celebrate the win. Thank you and congratulations to the Huskies on an amazing season!!
