Welcome back and happy new year! School is back in session and everyone will once again be busy with activities. The K, 4, 5 Ski Trip to Showdown tomorrow is a go. The ski bus leaves at 8:05am and will return before the end of the school day so students will be back in time to ride their route buses. The girls C squad game that was scheduled for tonight against DGS has been postponed. High school basketball games this week are Friday versus DGSG in Geraldine (GJV 3:00/BJV 4:30/GV 6:00/BV 7:30) and Saturday versus TCT in Hobson (BJV 3:30/GV 5:00/BV 6:30). UGLY Sweater Spirit Night - Thursday, December 21st, the Belt Huskies will host the Fairfield Eagles with game times as follows: GJV 3:00/BJV 4:30/GV 6:00/BV 7:30. Dig out your ugly Christmas sweater and come support your Huskies!

We had another successful year of selling Christmas wreaths for the annual music program fundraiser. The following students were the top sellers in their category: 3rd Place- a tie between Kate Hedstrom and Leila Budeski, each earning a $15 Apple gift card. 2nd Place- Sidney Paulson earning a $20 Apple gift card. 1st Place- Kale Stroop selling 63 wreaths and earning a $25 Apple gift card. Our top business sellers this year, each earning a $10 Apple gift card, were Tatum Enos selling to Dusty's Sprinklers and Weston Tingey selling to Great Falls Periodontics. We would like to thank the students, community and local businesses for supporting our music program and helping to profit $3,500 this year. Thank you all and have a very happy holiday season!
The elementary (K, 4th, 5th) ski trip scheduled for December 20th has been rescheduled for January 3. This is pending Showdown receiving enough snow to open for the season. We will send reminders for ski days once we have confirmation of their opening date.
On Saturday, December 2, 2023, downtown Belt will be hopping with the 4th Annual Christmas Stroll. The Breakfast With Santa fundraiser, sponsored by the Belt Community Swimming Pool, will be held at the Belt School Cafeteria from 8:00am-11:00am. There will be a basketball jamboree in both gyms starting at 9:00am and finishing up at 4:00pm. The kids movie will start at 4:00pm in the Belt Theater. An Operation Santa fundraiser will take place at the Diamond from 4:00pm-8:00pm.
Everyone is invited to come out, enjoy the busy day, and support the great community of Belt!



Middle School Homework Help is available Monday-Thursday from 3:30-4:30pm. Students are free to stay after school to work with a teacher on classwork, homework, projects, study for tests, or read. Each student will get a snack each day they attend. If you have questions please call the school office.
Next week will be Thanksgiving Break and there will be NO SCHOOL on November 22, 23 or 24. We wish you all a happy thanksgiving, enjoy the break!

The 8-Man State Championship game will be played this Saturday, Nov 18, at Remington Field in Belt, Montana. The Huskies will host the Fairview Warriors, kickoff will be at 1:00pm, gates will open at 12:00pm. Good luck and GO Huskies!!!

The gates for the State Championship game this Saturday (11/18) will open at Noon and there is no reserved seating prior to the game. Use the GOFAN QR Code to buy your tickets online in advance of the game.

Overflow parking is available this Saturday for the State Championship game at Remington Field on the west side of the field. The street behind the school will be blocked off for players and coaches only and to keep a lane open for emergency vehicles, so please drive around using Bowling Alley St. to access the overflow parking.

A reminder that Wednesday, November 15, 2023 will be an early-release for students at 12:31pm. Teachers will have professional development from 1:00pm-4:00pm.

"Box the Cats" or "Box the Griz"...it is nearly time to find out who will win the 2023 Brawl of the Wild (November 18). National Honor Society is sponsoring a cereal drive to support Cole's Pantry and the Belt Food Bank. Please participate by sending boxes of cereal to school between November 13-17 to cast a vote for your favorite team!

The Belt Husky Volleyball team will have a fire truck escort Wednesday evening to send them off to the State Tournament in Bozeman. The escort will take place at approximately 6:10pm going up Main St. Community members wishing to participate can line the street and send them off with good luck wishes! Good luck and GO Huskies!!
The Northern C Champion Belt Husky volleyball team will travel to Bozeman for the State C Tournament starting Thursday, November 9 with a first round matchup at 4:00pm versus North Country. Come out and support your Huskies or catch the action on the NFHS network. Good luck and go Huskies!

The Belt Husky football team will host the Ennis Mustangs on Saturday, November 11 at 1:00pm in an 8-Man semifinal matchup. Please come out and support your hometown Huskies! The winner will advance on to the 8-Man State Championship game next week.

Belt Public School will be hosting Parent/Teacher Conferences on Monday (11/6) and Tuesday (11-7) from 4:00pm-7:00pm. Parents are encouraged to attend the conferences and visit with teacher(s) on their child's progress through the 1st quarter. If you have any questions please call the school office at 406-277-3351.

Good luck to our Huskies this weekend. The volleyball team is competing at the Northern C Divisional Tournament held at Gt Falls Central. They play CJI tonight at 7:00pm in the undefeated semifinal.
