As we start a new school year we will be continuing with many of the same health and safety protocols we followed last spring. In the building, masks will be strongly recommended but not required. We will continue to promote handwashing, social distancing, and staying home if you are sick or fevering. As of now our school buses fall under a CDC order, authorized by Congress, in which masks are required on all public transportation. This means until we receive further guidance masks will be required on all district buses. We are asking parents to provide masks for their children if they are riding the bus. Our Keep School Open plan is available on the school website at www.beltschool.com.

Make plans to attend in-person Open House this upcoming Monday (8/16) night. To make our Open House as safe as possible we are recommending masks inside the building and asking that there be a limit of two adults per student during Open House.

The First Annual Sheriff's School Supply Stock-Up is coming to the Belt School parking lot on Saturday, August 14th from 10am-12:00pm. Each student will be allowed to pick up to five back-to-school items for free as well as have an opportunity to meet their local deputy and check out a patrol car. All Belt and Centerville students are welcome. Thank you to the Cascade County Deputy Sheriff's Association for sponsoring this event.

The Belt School is currently taking applications for night custodian, games-cleaners, bus drivers and sub custodians. Applications are available online at www.beltschool.com or paper copies are available in the school office. Office hours are Monday-Thursday, 9:00am-3:00pm.

The School Office will be on summer hours during June, July and early August. Please call to make an appointment if you need to come to the school outside of summer hours. The Fitness Room and the Gyms will also be closed for cleaning and refinishing from June 28th-July 11th.

Class picture forms went home with students this week. If you wish to purchase a class photo the forms and payment are due back in the office no later than Friday morning, May 21. The cost is $5 per photo. Late orders will not be accepted.
Class pictures were postponed last Fall due to COVID and the photography company cannot do the photos this Spring. Mr. Hoyer volunteered to take pictures this year. Pictures will be printed and sent home with students next week. Please call the office if you have any questions.

Need some help with some spring cleaning projects or various labor jobs? Then make plans to attend the 9th Annual Husky Labor Auction this Friday (5/21) night at the Belt Creek Brew Pub. Groups of workers will be auctioned for 8 hours of work starting at 6pm, with funds generated to help support the boys and girls basketball programs.
